A small setting is always good for those few avid listeners.  I’d have also liked more folks show up."

"Wonderfully organized and very well done!"

"Thanks for organizing such an event which provides a good forum for local artists to showcase their art:-). I do have feedback about the lighting on the stage, which was not optimal for recording. I do understand that some of things are beyond any one's control, but it would have tremendously helped the artists' spirit if lighting was co-operating as well."

"We had a very nice afternoon. The program was very well organized and there were no delays what so ever. The auditorium and the sound system were superb. OF course, some issue with lighting......"

Sitar Concert by Vinayak Chittar with Prafulla Athalye on Tabla - August 25 2012

"Thank you Kala Darpan for providing a wonderful concert of sitar and tabla on Saturday, August 25th.

Both artists, Vinayak Chittar and Prafulla Athalye, gave us an excellent performance of classical music.

I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to more programs like this one!"

"Just wanted to say what an excellent job Kala Darpan is doing organizing concerts of up & coming artists in Austin. All of the artists have been outstanding, from the inaugural concert with Manjusha Patil (vocal) to the most recent concert of Vinayak Chittar (sitar)."

Spirit of Unity Instrumental Concert by Surmani Rajendra Teredesai, Gourisankar and Sangeet Millennium - May 19 2012

"Really enjoyed the last night mehfil with musical feast. Shri Teredesai was awesome and Gourishankar gave a thrilling and upbeat companionship to the maestro. It was not an easy job to track his fingers on the instrument and for once felt the vibrations in the closed auditorium to a spinning tune of exhilaration. Indo-Jazz fusion was equally captivating to watch the notes flow from the strings and valves with some witty comments from Amie which added some light moments to the already honey-soaked ears. Fantastic job team and keep up the good work!"

"The intimate concert was awesome! I would love to see vocal concerts such as ghazals, and light classical by some upcoming young artists. Keep up the good work!"

"It was a fantastic concert"
